The ambition to set up a network for research to support Integral Practice's around the globe is the reason why I post.
Who is willing to help - or ask for help when they want to do research or set up an Integral Practice. The research is focuseed on determining succes-factors while using Spiral Dynamics and the best of what Ken Wilber has provided in his vast work.
I got the means to help out, maybe you have some opportunities and initiatives.

I am a zen practitioner living in Galicia, SPAIN and after reading all of Wilber's recent work would be very interested in collaborating in the setting up of an ITP group here, even though I still don't know exactly what it implies! next step - read the books, see the videos - but which should I start with?!

Can you smell the warmth of Spirit's Love? We are aggresivly starting a version of ITP based on a book in the works loosly termed The Bible of Practice. A new I.T.P. begins on Thurs. 16th January 2003 6.00- 9.00. This is a 12 week course and will incorparate a weekly KATA session and will include sessions on the relevance of Wilber and Spiral Dynamics to forming your own integral practice. Cost £260. A choice module on a counselling degree course but it is open to anyone interested.

Hello to ITP and Wilber types! I'm interested in finding a job with like-minded people. I have completed a Ph.D. in Theology, Ethics and the Human Sciences which proposed transformational spirituality for protestant mainline people who have not found local churches providing enough spiritual support and direction. I am in the Chicago area and ready to re-locate. I have over 25 years of administrative work in theological education and would like to find a position that includes faculty status, some teaching and possibly some administrative work also. I teach focusing and prayer to mainline Protestants and have worked with women's shelters and other groups of women extensively in the Midwest. I look forward to hearing from others who are not necessarily rejecting their Christian Protestant roots but seeking to enhance their spiritual journey.

We are beginning an ITP group in early September near Ridgedale (10 to 15 minutes West of Minneapolis). This group meets twice monthly on Wednesday nights for 2 hours. The cost is $50 per group. Hi - about a year ago I posted a message asking if anyone knew of an ITP group in SW Ohio. Since then I've received similar requests from others. As far as I know there is no ITP group in the Dayton/Cincy/Columbus area. However, I have started the Yellow Springs Integral Center, and we are beginning to create community around a variety of integral methodologies. Most of the folks we are attracting have an interest in doing integral transformative practices (although generally not THE ITP), the work of Ken Wilber, Spiral Dynamics, Bill Torbert, David Deida, Robert Kegan, Integral Coaching, etc. Just an update... feel free to contact me if you'd like to join this community of integral folks in the SW Ohio area. We have gatherings, presentations, discussions, etc. on a semi-regular basis in Yellow Springs, which is half-way between Cincinnati and Columbus.

There is a monthly Integral discussion group (called 'Politics and Spirit') in London (UK) which has also done enjoyable 'Integral workshops' on issues like education and the terrorism crisis. It's very Ken Wilber orientated. A more experiential offshoot group has stopped for now.
A specifically ITP group for London is looking likely at last - run by a transpersonal psychology MSc student.

I just finished George Leonard's book "The Way of Aikido ..." and found it to be extraordinary and inspiring. My question is this: Can someone recommend a similar book for a 10-year-old boy who is a dedicated martial arts (karate, 3 years) student. He is a bright and an excellent student, but I think "The Way of Aikido" may be too advanced, i.e., written for an adult audience. Thanks

At the Sri Aurobindo Learning Center in Crestone Colorado we offer a one-week workshop each summer in August for practitioners to engage in an in-depth immersion in the transformational yoga of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother. The workshops includes physical exercise in the form of hatha yoga, tai-chi, and chigong practice, hiking in the Sangre de Cristo mountains, and engagement with the local Haidakhandi Ashram and temple, the Mountain Zen Center, and Carmelite Monastery in their practice and worship. the group works together during the week to prepare meals and to prepare a tranformational-mythic dance performance as a culminating event for the community. During this week the principles of ITP are explored in the form of a practical intensive. Fees for workshop, room and board fall generally in the range of $300-400.
Participants come from all over the USA and abroad. We would welcome new participants and linkage with other practitioners in Colorado.

My partner, Christina Cusumano, and I have been ITP practitioners since last October. As a result of being on and off the practice sporadically over the last 10 months, two things have surfaced that are very clear 'truths' for us both.
One, bringing ITP into our life without a strong community of practice has been very difficult.
Two, the times that we've needed ITP the most were the times when we did it the least.
These two learnings have led to our forming and sustaining a deep community of support.
In the spirit of sharing what this has taught us, and the way it's shaped our practice (and our lives), we are starting a weekly class and helping others form one or more additional ITP communities in Wheaton, Illinois - a western suburb of Chicago.
An introductory class will be given Tuesday, September 18, 2001;
gatherings are to be held every Tuesday through December 11th from 7pm to 9pm;
a sacred space for this in a beautiful and receptive setting has been made available to us at the Loretto Center in Wheaton;
and is financially supported by each participant through a donation of $10 per weekly session.
Christina and I will offer training and coaching for the first few weeks and then gently encourage a self-organizing co-leadership to emerge in the group or groups that form.
During our introductory class, the six of us from our current ITP community will share experiences and learnings with those who attend.

I run a small consultancy and Personal Development business in Manchester UK. I am interested in forming a group in the North West of England. Hello fellow travellers, I am very interested in ITP and would like to work with others in Melbourne and Victoria, Australia to form a group for discussion, exchange of ideas and practice. I am currently doing my best to develop and practice a personal ITP based on guidelines in Ken Wilber's work. I'd love to hear from anyone on the planet who's making transformation a key focus in theirs and others lives. My current practice includes (as practically as possible): Self - diet, jogging & weight training, kata, meditation, study, counselling, contemplation, art; Culture - Graphic Design for ethically based clients, ethical investment, being a loving friend and family member; Nature - Organic food & gardening, planting, study of permaculture & ecology, appreciation of all living things, earthing rituals (especially via dance and art). It's getting pretty integral! That's just some of it! I am really enjoying it and starting to benefit others. Thanks to Big Ken and many teachers and other beings who are putting the good stuff out there. Andrew.
